Tips for Attending the Eugene Tea Festival

Whether this is your very first tea festival or you are a seasoned loose-leaf connoisseur, we are excited to welcome you! The Eugene Tea Festival is built on community, passion, and a shared love for the leaf. Expect a vibrant, bustling day filled with incredible teas and plenty of fellow tea lovers.

To help you navigate the day and make the most of your experience, we’ve put together this handy guide.

The Essentials

Location: Farmers Market Pavilion and Plaza | 85 E. 8th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97401

Parking & Directions

The adjacent gravel lot is strictly reserved for vendor parking.

  • Free Street Parking: Street parking is available throughout downtown and is free on Sundays!
  • Nearby Garages: The Parcade (35 W 8th Ave) and The Overpark (1000 E 10th Ave) are close by and just a short walk away.
  • ADA Parking: We have 21 reserved spaces around the venue (W Park St, N Park St, and Oak St) with an onsite ADA Parking Crew to assist you.
  • Biking: Onsite bike parking is located in the NW and NE corners of the Plaza. Remember to bring your bike lock!
  • Public Transit: The Eugene Bus Station (1080 Willamette St) is a flat, easy 7-minute walk to the venue.

Weather, Wardrobe & Policies

  • Rain or Shine: The festival is open rain or shine!
  • The Forecast: Sunday is looking beautiful: mostly sunny and a high of 67 degrees.
  • What to Wear: Check the weather report the day before. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket, and bringing sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.
  • Pet Policy: The Farmer’s Market Pavilion and Plaza prohibits animals, with the exception of service animals. Please help us respect this policy so we can continue to use this beautiful community space for years to come!
  • Public Wi-Fi can slow down during peak hours. Vendors appreciate your patience with digital card readers, or feel free to bring backup cash just in case.

4 Tips for a Great Festival Experience

  • 1. Bring Your Own Tote Bag: To reduce waste and keep festival admission free, we will not be providing shopping bags. Bring your favorite reusable tote or backpack.
  • 2. Pace Your Sips: Free compostable cups are provided at registration. Want a keepsake? Our commemorative porcelain tasting cups will be available for purchase for $10 (while supplies last). Vendors pour sip-sized samples so you can try a bit of everything without getting tea-ed out.
    • Listen to Your Body: It is possible to over-caffeinate! We will have a First Aid tent onsite. If you begin to feel unwell or shaky at any point, please visit our medical staff.
  • 3. Don’t Forget to Eat! Food vendors will be on-site serving up delicious meals throughout the day so you can sustain your energy and safely soak up all the tea.
  • 4. Embrace the Community Flow: The festival can be busy throughout the day. Stay grounded, sip tea, and treat fellow attendees, vendors, and volunteers with kindness, patience, and respect to keep the environment welcoming for all. Need a break? Unwind at a tea circle, our little sanctuaries, or head to the Food Court to enjoy some music, seating, and shade.
